Maciej holds a Ph.D. in Law from University of Warsaw. He currently works as the Assistant Professor at the Department of European Economic Law (Jean Monnet Chair), Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw and serves as a Scientific Secretary in the Centre of Antitrust and Regulatory Studies at the University of Warsaw. At the University Maciej teaches EU law, competition law as well as business and human rights. In the academic year 2013/14 Maciej was Fulbright Visiting Scholar and Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Beside doing a research he also taught a course in International and Comparative Competition Law. The areas of Maciej's interests include competition law, administrative law, constitutional law and EU law with a focus on enforcement of competition law and protection of fundamental rights (especially right to a fair hearing). At the moment, Maciej's research focuses on judicial review in competition law, decentralised enforcement of EU competition law and the interplay between EU and national competition laws. Maciej published two books and numerous articles in Polish journals. He is also a co-author of two leading commentaries to Polish Competition Act and Polish Unfair Competition Act. His publications in English appeared among others in the Common Market Law Review, the Columbia Journal of European Law, the Competition Law Review, the European Competition Law Review and the Review of European Administrative Law.
